The Battle of the Books competition was held Wednesday, March 18th at Herkimer College. There were 12 rounds of preliminary play for both the HS and MS teams. The two schools in each category (MS, HS) then move on to the championship round.
Our HS team made it to the championship round for the 2nd year in a row--facing off against Clinton for the 2nd time. We finished in 2nd place, just like last year. It was a very impressive showing. We have an incredibly strong and talented team!
Our MS didn't make it to the finals, but they tried their best. They are building their team--so it was made up entirely of new players.
In between the prelims and the finals, we break for lunch and a tour. This year, students were able to choose between a library tour and a tour of Herkimer's E-Sports lab.
Participating schools:
MS teams - Clinton, Dolgeville, Donovan Middle School (Utica), Holland Patent, Little Falls, New Hartford, New York Mills, Richfield Springs, West Canada Valley (9 teams)
HS teams - Clinton, Dolgeville, Little Falls, New York Mills, Remsen, Richfield Springs, West Canada Valley, Utica (8 teams)
