Dignity for All Students Act (DASA)
Richfield Springs Central School District is committed to providing a safe, supportive environment free from harassment, bullying or discrimination. The district will work diligently to ensure that each student has equal access to education in a safe and harassment-free environment. It is the goal to protect every student who may be targeted with discrimination and bias-based harassment. Acts of discrimination, harassment or bullying shall include verbal or non-verbal conduct, threats, intimidation or abuse, and may be based on, but not limited to, one of the following actual or perceived characteristics: race, color, weight, national origin, ethnic group, religion, religious practice, disability, sexual orientation, gender or sex. Bullying maybe regarded as purposeful acts of harassment that are repeated over time and are intended to ridicule humiliate or intimidate a student.
RSCS encourages the involvement of staff, students, parents and community members in the implementation and reinforcement of the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA). If you believe you, or someone else, has been the target of harassment, bullying--including cyberbullying--or discrimination, please use this form to report all allegations.
You can complete the online form below and it will automatically be directed to the school administrator. Or, you can print and complete this form and return it to the school administrator or Dignity Act Coordinator. Administration will review and respond to each incident in the context of the student Code of Conduct.
All complaints will be treated in a confidential manner.
Anonymous reports may limit the district’s ability to respond to the complaint.
False reporting of incidents may result in disciplinary consequences.
Any reports made after hours or during summer months will be addressed as the administrator is available. For emergencies, please call 911.
