GROUP COUNSELING TYPICALLY CONSISTS OF CHILDREN FROM THE SAME GRADE LEVEL. STUDENTS WHO PARTICIPATE IN GROUP COUNSELING MEET WITH THE COUNSELOR FOR 30 MINUTES ONCE A WEEK DURING THE SCHOOL DAY. THE PURPOSE OF THE SMALL GROUPS IS TO PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR LEARNING AND PRACITING NEW SKILLS, SHARING THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS, AND FOCUS ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS.
