Mr. Barkman's agriculture and technology students recently hosted a new event at RSCS. The First Annual Agriculture & Technology Fair was held on Tuesday, March 7th in the elementary gym. On hand were a variety of presenters such as Cornell Cooperative Extension of Herkimer County, Herkimer County Soil & Water Conservation District, New York State Fishers & Wildlife, Farm Credit East, Hulse Hill Farm, and more. The FFA members also set up hands-on activities such as planting seeds and a hay bale toss. Grades 4-8 attended the event and it was very well-received. Thank you to Mr. Barkman and his students for showing initiative in organizing this career event.
