The Richfield Springs National Honor Society Induction ceremony and dinner was held onTuesday, May 30th at RSCS. Superintendent Mr. Piatti welcomed family and guests and gave a brief history of the National Honor Society. The chapter officers read each of the tenets of theNational Honor society: president Maggie Worobey (scholarship), vice president Kalen Barnhart (leadership), secretary Emily Diotte (service) and treasurer Laken Dyn (character).
The following students were inducted and received their membership certificates from
secondary principal Mr. St. Peter and Board of Education member Mrs. Marzeski: Aiden Dibble,
Riley Francis, Justin Wolfe, and James Wright.
NHS senior members Kalen Barnhart, Amanda Burdick, Emily Diotte, Lauren Johnson, and
Maggie Worobey received their NHS medallions from Board of Education members Scot
Mondore and Brad Smith. The medallions are worn at graduation.
Mr. St. Peter concluded the ceremony by describing the three life lessons that he learned from
legendary coaches Mike Krzyzewski, John Wooden, Lou Holtz, Pat Summit, and his father.
Choosing to have a positive attitude, learning from adversity, and handling yourself and others
with care are essential lessons that we all need to practice in order to have a successful life.
Congratulations to all NHS members for their hard work throughout the school year. We are
proud of you. Best wishes to our seniors as they embark on a new journey. Congratulations to
the families of these outstanding young people.
