On Thursday, May 20, the STEAM Club was lucky to have the inventor and scientist, Nikola Tesla join us remotely to present information and perform demonstrations in electricity, magnetism, and wireless transmission of energy and communication. Many of the devices in use today are attributed to Tesla's original theories and inventions. The students interacted with him, and asked intelligent, thoughtful questions. His performance was grant-based through Matheatre.com.
Second graders in Mrs. Trask's classes learned about homophones and made these fantastic pictures!
Thank you to Damon Boss and Brayden Misencik who helped the Greater Mohawk Valley Land Bank clean up their lot on Main Street! Great job getting some community service in boys. Stop by and visit this newly created pocket park!
Operation Greenhouse is underway! Mrs. Davis got the greenhouse in a grant and Mr. Barkman's Agriculture Engineering class did most of the structural work. The skeletal structure has been up since fall. We had to build and install doors and finish off a few details before we put the plastic on this spring. Seniors in the Animal Science class put on the upper piece of plastic and other tech classes put the end caps on. This project is an accumulation of a couple of years worth of effort.
The National Honor Society Induction Ceremony will be live streamed tonight on the Richfield Springs Central School Facebook page. Join us at 6:00 PM to watch.

Participating students will be able to phone or use online apps to record and share severe weather condition observations. The SKYWARN trained weather spotters provide meteorologists with weather observations to assist them to make "life-saving warning decisions."
