COVID-19 SCREENING QUESTIONNAIRES Under the guidance of the NYS Department of Health, Richfield Springs Central School is requiring that staff, students, and visitors complete a health screening questionnaire on a daily basis prior to reporting to school. Remote Instruction Clarification: We hope by now our parents/guardians and families have familiarized themselves with the Richfield Springs Central School District’s reopening plan for the 2020-2021 school year. The District has worked diligently to ensure that the reopening plan will be safe for its returning staff and students. While the District remains steadfast in its commitment to maintain the health and well-being of its staff and students as they return to the school building, we are also aware that certain students, particularly our special education population, may not be able to return to the school building despite the District’s safety measures. If you, as a parent/guardian of a special education student, believe your child warrants remote instruction based on his/her medical condition, please submit your request in writing as soon as possible to Tom Piatti, Superintendent of Schools at tpiatti@richfieldcsd.org. The District reserves the right to individually assess each request and seek medical documentation regarding the student’s medical condition and how it impacts the student’s access to education in order to determine whether the student necessitates remote instruction. The Mobile Hotspot units are intended for your child's educational needs. This is Lee Supensky, Interim Secondary Principal at Richfield Springs Central School I’m calling to invite parents/guardians/caregivers of secondary students to a virtual question and answer session on Thursday, August 27th. This session will address student scheduling for the 2020-21 school year and will include Mr. Busch from the counseling department. The RSCS Class of 2024 would like to invite you to their Brooks Chicken BBQ on Sunday September 6 from 12-4 pm in the RSCS parking lot! The elementary school is hosting grade-level back to school informational meetings for families. All meetings will be held in the cafeteria from 6:00p.m.-7:00 p.m. The schedule is as follows Monday August 10th Pre-K Tuesday August 11th 6th grade Wednesday August 12th 5th grade Thursday August 13th Kindergarten Friday August 14th 2nd grade Monday August 17th 4th grade Tuesday August 18th 1st grade Thursday August 20th 3rd grade Please try to limit attendance to one adult per family.
